Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 is the Halloween entry in the Big Bass series, built by Reel Kingdom and published by Pragmatic Play. A vampire fisherman reels in money fish, and the biggest fish value is 1,000× the base bet. It was released on 12 October 2026, in time for Halloween.

The slot is out now, and a free demo is embedded at the top of this page. It runs on play money with the same maths as the real-money game. Every rule, price and percentage below comes from the eight pages of the in-game rules screen; where a detail is not listed, I say so. For more new releases, see our new slots page.

The Halloween setting: a vampire fisherman and a cauldron

Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 gives the fishing trip a Halloween makeover. The wild is a vampire fisherman, and the themed symbols are a monster truck, a bat, a fishing rod, a coffin tackle box and a zombie fish. A cauldron sits beside the reels, and the intro line counts up to the title number: “999, 1000 FISH… AH-AH-AH!”

What carries over from Big Bass Bonanza, and what is new

If you have played the original Big Bass Bonanza, the core loop is familiar. The fisherman wild collects the money fish on screen, and every fourth fisherman collected retriggers the feature with a multiplier that rises up to 10×. What the Halloween edition adds:

  • The 1000: the top money fish value is 1,000× the base bet.
  • The cauldron: pairs of scatters are collected beside the reels and can trigger the free spins.
  • The pumpkins: a six-pumpkin pick before the round, plus a pumpkin symbol on reel 5.
  • Random features: trick or treat, spiders and a bazooka.
  • Betting options: a 1.5× ante bet and feature buys at 100× and 450×.

How the Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 slot pays

Symbols pay left to right on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel. Only the highest win per payline counts, and wins on different paylines add up.

Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 base game: 5x3 reels, ante bet and buy feature panel, cauldron for collected scatters

The rules screen quotes prices at a $2.00 bet, so the table shows them as multiples of the bet. Five monster trucks, for example, pay 200× ($400 at that bet).

Symbol 5 of a kind 4 of a kind 3 of a kind 2 of a kind (if listed)
Monster truck 200× 20× 5× 0.5×
Bat 100× 15× 3× –
Fishing rod 50× 10× 2× –
Coffin tackle box 50× 10× 2× –
Zombie fish 20× 5× 1× –
A and K 10× 2.5× 0.2× –
Q, J and 10 5× 1× 0.2× –

Wild, scatter and money symbols

The fisherman wild appears on all reels in free spins only, and it substitutes for every symbol except scatters and money symbols. The scatter is a fish with a SCATTER tag and can land on all reels.

Money fish take a random value on every spin, and the values can be won in free spins: 2×, 5×, 10×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50× or 1,000× the base bet. The rules screen lists no frequency for any of them.

Free spins: the cauldron, pumpkins and fisherman

Step 1: Trigger the round

Three, four or five scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. In the base game, two scatters are also collected in the cauldron, and the free spins can then trigger at random.

The rules call that collection “only a graphic representation for entertainment purposes” and do not say how many spins it awards. With two scatters and no third, the game can also run a respin (reels holding scatters move one position down, the others respin) or add one more scatter at random.

Step 2: Pick a pumpkin

Before the round starts, you choose one of six pumpkins; the rules screen does not list the odds of each outcome. It reveals one of these five upgrades, or NO REWARD:

  • More Fishermen: more wilds on the reel strips.
  • Start From Level 2: the progressive feature starts at level 2.
  • More Fish: more fish symbols on the reel strips.
  • More Treats: a higher chance of trick or treat, spiders or the bazooka.
  • +2 Spins: two extra free spins to start, and two more on every retrigger.

Step 3: Collect fish and climb the levels

In free spins, each fisherman wild collects every money value on screen, and every fisherman that hits is itself collected until the round ends. Every fourth fisherman collected retriggers the feature with 10 more free spins and raises the money multiplier: 2× at level two (4th fisherman), 3× at level three (8th) and 10× at level four (12th). Retriggered spins are played after the current batch, and there are no retriggers after level four.

Step 4: Watch reel 5 for the pumpkin

A pumpkin symbol can land at random on reel 5 only, during free spins. It opens another six-pumpkin pick: an upgrade starts from the next spin, and revealing one guarantees at least 5 free spins at the current level.

Step 5: Random end-of-spin features

  • Trick or treat: fishermen on screen but no fish; the spin can add fish money symbols.
  • Spiders: fish on screen but no fisherman; spiders pull random reels up to bring in fisherman symbols.
  • Bazooka: fishermen on screen but no fish; an animation can change all symbols except the fishermen.

The rules screen gives trick or treat and the bazooka the same condition. It does not say which one fires.

Buying the feature: ante bet, 100× buy, 450× super buy

In Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 the ante bet raises the cost of every spin. A feature buy takes you straight into the round for a one-off price.

Mode Cost RTP What changes
Normal play 1× the base bet per spin 96.50% Baseline
Ante bet 1.5× the base bet per spin ($3.00 at a $2.00 base bet) 96.50% More scatters and a higher chance of the feature; Buy Free Spins is disabled
Buy Free Spins 100× the base bet, paid once 96.50% Triggers the round directly
Buy Super Free Spins 450× the base bet, paid once 96.50% Higher chance of 1,000× money symbols

The rules screen gives no figure for the ante bet’s extra scatters, the spins in a bought round or the 1,000× boost. A 450× buy commits 450 bets to one round, so I would try it in the demo first.

Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 RTP: what the numbers mean

The rules screen gives Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 a theoretical RTP of 96.50%, and the same figure for the ante bet and both feature buys. So those options change how you reach the round, not the long-run return. RTP is an average over a very large number of spins, so a single session can finish far above or below it.

A volatility check before you spin

The rules screen labels Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 as medium volatility. That is a label, not a measurement, and no hit frequency is listed.

The line pays are modest: the best is 200×, and the lowest three-of-a-kind pays 0.2×, less than the stake. The big numbers sit in free spins, where fish reach 1,000× and the level multiplier reaches 10×, all under a 20,000× cap that ends a free-spins round the moment it is reached. A few hundred demo spins show how the game feels, not how often those top values land.

What the Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 demo shows right now

As of 19 October 2026, the demo at the top of this page runs on play money with the same maths. It shows the ante bet and buy feature panel, the cauldron beside the reels and the rules screen, which lists bets from $0.10 to $375.00.

The buy panel is the quickest way to see the pumpkin pick and the fisherman at work without waiting for scatters. For the limits of play money, see our demo vs real guide.
