Sweet Bonanza Pop is Pragmatic Play’s portrait-format spin-off of its Sweet Bonanza candy slot. It swaps the original 6×5 board for a 3×5 grid, keeps the tumbles and candy-bomb multipliers, and adds a rainbow POP candy that turns a three-symbol trigger into one of three fixed prizes: 50×, 500× or 25,000× your bet. This page covers the Sweet Bonanza Pop demo and its rules as the game prints them.
Pragmatic Play lists the release for 21 October 2026 (the SlotsLaunch catalogue says 20 October). The Sweet Bonanza Pop demo was already playable on 19 October, and every rule below comes from its in-game rules screens. A free demo is embedded at the top of this page and runs on play money with the same maths as that official demo.

The symbols are sweets and fruit. Six of them pay: a red heart candy, a purple square candy, a blue oval candy, a pink apple, grapes and a banana. A pink lollipop is the SCATTER, a rainbow candy marked POP is the new special symbol, and a candy bomb carries the multipliers.
The in-game title is written “Sweet Bonanza POP”, and the board is a portrait-first 3×5 grid rather than the 6×5 of the original Sweet Bonanza. Nine of a kind, the top pay tier, needs more than half the screen to show one symbol.
Symbols pay anywhere on the screen rather than along lines. What counts is how many of the same symbol are showing when the spin ends: 5 is the minimum, with tiers at 5–6, 7–8 and 9 or more. I read the in-game paytable at a $2.00 reference bet and converted every figure to a multiple of the bet (the top red-heart pay of 50× is $100 at that bet), so the table holds at any stake.

| Symbol | 5–6 of a kind | 7–8 of a kind | 9+ of a kind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red heart candy | 10× | 25× | 50× |
| Purple square candy | 2× | 8× | 20× |
| Blue oval candy | 1× | 2× | 10× |
| Pink apple | 0.6× | 1.5× | 6× |
| Grapes | 0.4× | 1× | 4× |
| Banana | 0.2× | 0.8× | 2× |
Note the bottom rows: at 5–6 of a kind, the apple, grapes and banana pay 0.6×, 0.4× and 0.2×, which is less than the stake.
After each spin, winning combinations are paid and every winning symbol disappears. The symbols left fall to the bottom of the screen, new ones drop in from above to fill the gaps, and the game checks again. This repeats until a drop produces no win, and the rules set no limit on the number of tumbles.
Wins reach your balance only after the whole sequence has been played, which is also when any candy-bomb multiplier is applied.
The pink lollipop (SCATTER) and the rainbow POP candy can land on all reels. The rules treat them as one trigger with two layers:
Three lollipops and no POP start the free spins but are not eligible for a prize.
| Prize | Combination of 3 | Pays |
|---|---|---|
| SPARK | 1 POP + 2 SCATTER | 50× total bet |
| SNAP | 2 POP + 1 SCATTER | 500× total bet |
| BURST | 3 POP | 25,000× total bet |
BURST equals the maximum win on the intro screen. The rules screen does not say how often any of the three lands, or whether candy-bomb multipliers apply to these fixed prizes.
The round starts with 10 free spins. The rules say special reels are in play during the feature, and it is in this part of the rules that the candy-bomb multiplier is described.
A candy bomb stays on screen until the tumble sequence ends. Each time one lands, it takes a random value: 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 12×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 100×, 250×, 500× or 1,000×.
When the sequence ends, the values of all bombs on screen are added together, and the sequence’s total win is multiplied once by that sum. For illustration: bombs showing 5× and 10× add up to 15×, so a sequence that paid 10× your bet in total becomes 150×. The rules screen does not say whether bombs can also land on base-game spins.
Whenever 2 SCATTER symbols hit during the round, 5 extra free spins are awarded; whenever 3 or more hit, 10 extra are awarded. The retrigger text names SCATTER symbols only; the rules screen does not say whether POP symbols count towards it.
If the total win of a free-spins round reaches 25,000× your bet, the maximum win on the intro screen, the round ends at once, the win is paid and any remaining free spins are forfeited.
There is nothing to buy. The rules screens have no bonus-buy section and no ante-bet section, and the base-game screen of the Sweet Bonanza Pop demo shows no buy button.
| Option | Cost | RTP shown |
|---|---|---|
| Standard spin | Your chosen bet, $0.10 to $250.00 | 97.05% |
| Feature buy | None offered in the demo | Not applicable |
| Ante bet | No section in the rules screens | Not applicable |
The rules screen states a theoretical RTP of 97.05%. RTP, or return to player, is a long-run average of how much staked money a game is built to pay back, with the rest kept as the casino’s margin. It says nothing about a single session.
Two limits apply. 97.05% is the Sweet Bonanza Pop demo version’s figure: the rules screen lists no other settings, and casinos can run a different RTP, so check the info page of the version you open. The screen also gives no split between the base game and the free spins, so you cannot tell how much of that figure depends on reaching the feature.
The intro screen and the rules both call the game medium volatility. That is the studio’s label, not a measurement, and the rules list no hit frequency and no odds for the free spins.
What the screens do show is how wide the outcomes run: symbol pays from 0.2× to 50×, POP prizes from 50× to 25,000×, candy bombs from 2× to 1,000×. With that spread, a short session can finish a long way from the 97.05% average, and losing stretches can be long. Decide your limit before you start.
The intro screen promises wins of up to 25,000× the bet and random multipliers up to 1,000×, and gives the volatility as medium. On the base-game screen, the three prize labels (SPARK, SNAP and BURST) sit above the reels, and there is no buy button.
The menu offers three spin speeds (normal, quick and turbo), a battery saver, a sound toggle, game history and an info page, and the game prompts you to hold for a turbo spin. The demo uses play money, so it shows how the features behave rather than what real stakes feel like; demo versus real money explains the gap.

Not in the demo. The rules screens have no bonus-buy or ante-bet section, and the base game shows no buy button.
25,000× your bet. The BURST prize (3 POP symbols) pays exactly that, and a free-spins round ends as soon as its total reaches 25,000×.
